Texas Brisket Rub

A purist Texas-style salt, pepper and garlic rub, ideal for beef brisket and large cuts of beef.

Coarse sea salt35 g
Black pepper coarsely cracked35 g
Garlic powder15 g
Onion powder8 g
Cayenne pepper4 g
Dried thyme3 g

3 MinutenCoarsely crack the black pepper in a pepper mill or mortar so the grains are only roughly broken and no fine powder forms.

3 MinutenThoroughly combine all weighed ingredients in a bowl until an even mixture is formed.

2 MinutenFill the mixture into an airtight jar and store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life approx. 4 months.
