A bold, spicy and savory BBQ sauce with chili and beef broth, perfect for hearty beef brisket.

Tomato passata200 ml
Beef broth150 ml
Apple cider vinegar60 ml
Chili powder15 g
Ground cumin8 g
Onion powder5 g
Worcestershire sauce40 ml
Coarsely ground black pepper5 g

Sautéing

Heat a saucepan over medium heat and dry-toast the chili powder, cumin, and onion powder for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Deglazing

Deglaze with tomato passata, beef broth, and apple cider vinegar, scraping up all the toasted bits from the bottom.

Simmering

30 Minuten

Stir in Worcestershire sauce and black pepper, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes to reduce.

Finishing

5 Minuten

Taste the sauce, add salt if needed, and once the desired consistency is reached, remove from heat and bottle.

Pro Tip

For a more authentic flavor, use self-roasted and ground chili peppers instead of store-bought chili powder.
