Classic Italian grilled provolone with olive oil and fresh herbs.

Provolone400 g
Extra virgin olive oil30 ml
Fresh rosemary10 g
Garlic15 g
Black pepper3 g
Lemon zest5 g

Preparation

Cut provolone into 1 cm thick slices. Finely chop garlic and mix with olive oil, rosemary and pepper. Brush cheese slices with the mixture.

Prepare grill

10 Min.

Preheat grill to 200-220°C direct heat. Rub grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Grilling

5-6 Min.

Place provolone slices on the grill and cook 2-3 minutes per side until clear grill marks appear and the cheese is slightly melted.

Serving

2 Min.

Remove from grill immediately, sprinkle with lemon zest and serve with fresh ciabatta and tomato salad.

Pro Tip

Use a cast iron pan or grill basket to prevent the cheese from falling through the grates.
