Onions300 g
Apple Cider Vinegar50 ml
Brown Sugar60 g
Worcestershire Sauce20 ml
Smoked Paprika6 g

Instructions

Caramelizing Onions

25 Minuten

Slice onions into thin rings and caramelize slowly in a pan with a little butter over low heat for 25 minutes until deeply golden brown.

Preparing Peaches

10 Minuten

Peel, pit and dice the peaches into small cubes of about 1 cm.

Cooking

5 Minuten

Add peaches to the caramelized onions, add sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, ginger and salt and mix well.

Thickening

15 Minuten

Simmer the relish over medium heat for 15 minutes until the peaches are soft and the mixture reaches a jam-like consistency.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then fill hot into sterilized jars or serve immediately.

Use fully ripe, soft peaches for maximum natural sweetness – frozen peaches work just as well in winter.
