A full-bodied tomato-mustard BBQ sauce from Memphis with a sweet and spicy note, ideal for ribs and pulled pork.

Ingredients(for 0.5 kg)

Tomato Ketchup250 g
Apple Cider Vinegar80 ml
Yellow Mustard60 g
Brown Sugar50 g
Worcestershire Sauce30 ml
Smoked Paprika8 g
Garlic Powder5 g
Cayenne Pepper3 g

Instructions

Mix Base

Combine tomato ketchup, apple cider vinegar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan.

Add Spices

Stir in brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.

Simmering

20 Minuten

Simmer the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Cooling

10 Minuten

Remove sauce from heat, let cool and fill into a clean jar. Store in the refrigerator.

For a smokier flavor, stir in a teaspoon of liquid smoke.
