Memphis BBQ Sauce

A full-bodied tomato-mustard BBQ sauce from Memphis with a sweet and spicy note, ideal for ribs and pulled pork.

Tomato Ketchup250 g
Apple Cider Vinegar80 ml
Yellow Mustard60 g
Brown Sugar50 g
Worcestershire Sauce30 ml
Smoked Paprika8 g
Garlic Powder5 g
Cayenne Pepper3 g
Instructions

Mix Base
3 MinutenCombine tomato ketchup, apple cider vinegar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan.

Add Spices
2 MinutenStir in brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.

Simmering
20 MinutenSimmer the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Cooling
10 MinutenRemove sauce from heat, let cool and fill into a clean jar. Store in the refrigerator.

For a smokier flavor, stir in a teaspoon of liquid smoke.
