Korean Bulgogi Marinade

Sweet and savoury Korean marinade with pear and soy sauce for incredibly tender and flavourful bulgogi meat.
Ingredients(for 0.5 kg)
Instructions
Blend Pear Base
5 MinutenPeel and core the Asian pear and cut into rough chunks. Place in a blender together with garlic and ginger and blend into a fine puree.
Combine Marinade
3 MinutenTransfer pear puree to a bowl and stir in soy sauce, sesame oil and brown sugar. Mix well until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Finishing
3 MinutenSlice spring onions into fine rings and stir into the marinade together with the toasted sesame seeds. Taste – it should be sweet-savoury and aromatic.
Marinating and Grilling
1–2 StundenPlace thinly sliced beef in the bulgogi marinade and refrigerate for 1–2 hours. Then sear quickly over high heat on the grill or in a pan.
Pro Tip
Use Asian pear (Nashi) – it contains natural enzymes that tenderise the meat. Alternatively, kiwi or pineapple also work well.
