Korean BBQ Sauce Gochujang

Fiery-sweet Korean BBQ sauce based on gochujang paste with sesame and garlic.
Ingredients(for 0.5 kg)
Gochujang Paste120 g
Soy Sauce80 ml
Honey80 ml
Sesame Oil30 ml
Garlic, finely chopped20 g
Rice Vinegar60 ml
Sesame Seeds15 g
Ginger, grated10 g

Preparation
5 MinutenFinely chop the garlic and grate the ginger, then set aside.

Toast Base
3 MinutenHeat sesame oil in a small saucepan over medium heat and sauté garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes until golden.

Simmer Sauce
7 MinutenAdd gochujang, soy sauce, honey and rice vinegar, stir well and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

Finish
5 MinutenStir in sesame seeds, remove sauce from heat and let cool to room temperature, then pour into sterilized jars.
Pro Tip
For a deeper umami note, stir in one teaspoon of doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste).
