Homemade Garlic Powder

Fresh garlic is sliced thinly and fully dehydrated at a consistent temperature. The dried slices are then ground into a fine powder. Homemade garlic powder impresses with intense flavor and no artificial additives.
Instructions
Preparation
30 min.Peel all garlic cloves and cut into uniform slices of 2-3 mm thickness using a sharp knife or mandoline. The more uniform the slices, the more evenly they will dry.
Dehydrating
12-18 hoursSpread garlic slices in a single layer on the dehydrator trays. Set the dehydrator to 55-60 °C. Dry until the slices are completely brittle and dry with no softness remaining.
Grinding and Storing
10 min.Grind cooled slices into a fine powder using a coffee grinder or a powerful blender. Sift through a fine sieve and grind any residue again. Store in airtight dark jars.
Pro Tip
Garlic smells very intense during drying. Choose a well-ventilated spot or an outdoor area. The finished powder has a shelf life of 12 months.
