Spicy, Asian-inspired dry marinade for beef jerky made from beef or turkey breast strips with bold soy, garlic and chili notes.

Soy powder (freeze-dried)20 g
Garlic granules18 g
Fine sea salt15 g
Black pepper finely ground12 g
Chili flakes10 g
Onion granules10 g
Brown sugar8 g
Ginger powder7 g

Instructions

Prepare ingredients

Weigh all ingredients and prepare them in a medium bowl. Break up any clumps in the soy powder and onion granules with a spoon.

Mixing

Thoroughly mix all ingredients in the bowl until an evenly colored and evenly scented blend is achieved.

Filling

2 Minuten

Fill the finished blend into an airtight screw-top jar, label with date and contents, and store cool and dry. Shelf life approx. 4 months.

Pro Tip

For a more intense umami flavor, mix 1 tsp of the finished blend with 2 tbsp soy sauce to form a paste and massage into the meat – the dry blend already contains soy powder for the typical jerky taste.
