Indian Tandoori Marinade

Creamy yoghurt marinade with an aromatic spice blend for tender, flavourful tandoori-style grilled meat.

Instructions
Prepare Spices
3 MinutenWeigh all dry spices – Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, cumin and turmeric – into a bowl and mix well.
Mix Marinade
3 MinutenPlace yoghurt in a large bowl and stir in the spice mix, garlic ginger paste, lemon juice and oil. Mix everything into a smooth marinade.
Seasoning
2 MinutenSeason marinade with salt. It should be well-spiced and slightly tangy. Check consistency – it should cling well to the meat.
Marinating
4–12 StundenScore meat pieces and generously coat with tandoori marinade. Cover and rest in the fridge for at least 4 hours, then grill over high heat.
Pro Tip
Add a pinch of red food colouring for the classic tandoori colour. Kashmiri chilli gives colour without extreme heat.
