A creamy, mayonnaise-based BBQ sauce with horseradish and vinegar, typical of the US state of Alabama.

Mayonnaise300 g
Apple Cider Vinegar80 ml
Horseradish (grated)30 g
Lemon Juice20 ml
Black Pepper (ground)5 g
Salt5 g
Cayenne Pepper2 g

Preparation

Place mayonnaise in a bowl and stir in apple cider vinegar and lemon juice until a homogeneous mixture forms.

Add grated horseradish, black pepper, cayenne pepper and salt, then stir everything thoroughly.

60 Minuten

Cover the finished sauce and let it rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Pro Tip

The sauce tastes especially good as a dip for smoked chicken or as a dressing for coleslaw.
