Mexican Chipotle Adobo Rub

A smoky, spicy and slightly sweet dry rub in the style of Mexican adobo with chipotle as its centerpiece, perfect for pork, chicken and ribs.

3 MinutenWeigh all spices individually and place in small bowls. Make sure the raw cane sugar has no lumps, crush if necessary.
Mixing
3 MinutenCombine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir thoroughly with a spoon or whisk until a uniform, dark red mixture forms.
Bottling
2 MinutenTransfer the finished adobo rub into a sealable jar, label it and store in a dark, dry place. Shelf life approximately 4-5 months.
Pro Tip
For a more intensely smoky flavor, increase the chipotle amount by up to 5g. A little raw cane sugar in the mix creates a beautiful caramel crust when grilling.
